8" Trim Gauge®

"Sometimes the design of a product can be so simple that it's a wonder why it's new to the market"

Recently Upgraded to include an overall (accumulative) measurement between two points (both ends)

Brumley Tools has done it again! How do you improve on the already successful 4" Trim Gauge® that has received industry acclaim? Featured in Fine Home Building, This Old House, Work Bench, Contractor Tools & Supplies, LBM Journal and, showcased on HGTV 2003 National Hardware Show and demonstrated by Tom Silvas on the popular TV show, This Old House. To top the successful 4" Trim Gauge®, Brumley Tools now introduces a new 8" version that is sure to be a formidable challenger to the already popular torpedo level, says Philip Brumley CEO of Brumley Tools, Inc.

"The new 8" Trim Gauge® has all of the advantages of the torpedo level," Brumley says, "It has the industry-standard three vials for leveling and a magnetized edge, but it has all of the uses that you've come to know and expect from its 4" predecessor, plus a 1/4 inch offset featured on both sides of the tool instead of the existing 3/16" that is present on the 4" version." "This helps commercial trim carpenters who use 1/4" offsets when setting trim. Now you have the best of both industries residential and commercial," Brumley says.

"Why carry a Torpedo Level in your pouch when all it does is just level, when you could have the new 8" Multi-Purpose Trim Gauge® Tool that is virtually the same size and capable of performing a multitude of tasks beyond that of a Torpedo Level?" says Brumley, "Space in a carpenter's tool pouch has always been a premium, reserved only for tools that get the job done fast and efficiently." "This is why the Combination Square, a valuable tool in its own right, never made it into the carpenters pouch because of its bulkiness and it proved somewhat cumbersome to operate," says Brumley.

The unique offset edges, low center of gravity and narrow profile exclusive to both Trim Gauge® models allow it to cradle a piece of pipe over a larger surface area making it more stable and less apt to tip over, thus correcting a common problem with traditional torpedo levels of today. Also, it positions the horizontal vial so it typically faces you at a 45 degree angle which allows for better reading.

Trim Gauge® is well on its way to being a must-have for the professional on the construction site and the Do It Yourselfer.
